This project was based on a dissection of the compound eye of a crayfish, which inspired this comparison infographic that showcased the more complex eye structure of the notorious peacock mantis shrimp. Upon researching how this incredible species’ eyes actually worked, I learned about the misconceptions we have as well our understanding of how they actually function, which led to my rendition of what the world might look like through the eyes of a mantis shrimp.
